Remove old filter cartridge by grasping and turning counterclockwise about 1/4 turn.2. Push the new filter into the filter housing until it stops.3. Turn the new filter 1/4 clockwise until it stops and locks in place.4. Run water from the dispenser (about 3 gallons or 5 minutes) to clear the system, prevent sputtering, and condition the new filter.5. On models with a replacement indicator light, press and hold the RESET WATER FILTER PAD about the dispenser for 3 seconds. Why is the water cloudy after replacing the new 5231JA2006A Refrigerator Water Filter?1) If the white floating “particles” appear only after the newly installed filter, place the glass of water still for a few minutes, if it shows signs of reducing then they are most likely tiny air bubbles formed from the trapped air inside the new filter. 2) If those are solid white floating particles, pick them out and try to crush them. If they are crushable, those are naturally occurring mineral deposits formed inside your refrigerator`s waterline, such as calcium carbonate or magnesium carbonate. However, it is very difficult for the refrigerator filter, and it is almost impossible to solve this problem because any refrigerator filter cannot filter out ions. 3) If it is a black precipitate, it may be caused by insufficient flushing. Sincerely recommend that when you use the new filter, please soak it for 15 minutes, then rinse it under the tap for 10 seconds, and finally, put the filter in a kettle to rinse 3-5 gallons of water.
