Do I need to flush the filter after installation?The new filter should be flushed for 3 gallons or 5 minutes to condition it. The water filter is made from coconut shell activated carbon block, harmless charcoal residual, and fines can be found in a new filter. The flushing process will remove carbon fines out of the system. When should I replace the filter?We recommend that you replace the filter every 5 years or sooner. The filter’s life depends entirely on your local water aualitand frequency of use. Failure to replace the filter will cause a reduced water flow or sediment/rust present in the water.
