FAQFAQMost frequent questions and answers Does this system remove TDS?A high TDS reading is not a direct indication of the bad water quality, but more ionic dissolved solids or ions contained in the water, For instance, salty water has a higher TDS reading than tap water because of its sodiumions, luice has a higher TDS reading than tap water because of the jons in the ingredients. Mineral water or any bottled water on the market also has a higher TDs reading than tap water because of its healthy mineral ions. Do I need to flush the filter after installation?The new filter should be flushed for 3 gallons or 5 minutes to condition it. The water filter is made from coconut shell activated carbon block, harmless charcoal residual, and fines can be found in a new filter. The flushing process will remove carbon fines out of the system. When should I replace the filter?We recommend that you replace the filter every 8 years or sooner. The filters life depends entirely on your local water quality and frequency of use. Failure to replace the filter will cause a reduced water flow or sediment/rust present in the water.
